In May 2014 Whitby Area Musical Theatre Company presented the Rogers and Hammerstein classic “The Sound of Music”. The enduring story follows the headstrong postulant, Maria, as she is appointed governess to the seven children of Captain Georg von Trapp, and whose stern heart is melted by her free-spirited nature. With songs like Edelweiss, My Favourite Things, Do-Re-Mi and Climb Ev'ry Mountain.
